Everything I go to this vision center, I get A1-service. My Dr. Is the most knowledgeable, friendly eye Dr. I have been to. He makes sure to tell you like it is. I'm very happy at Maple Valley Eye Care Center. All the staff were friendly too.🙂 …

This is my second year with Maple Valley Eye Care Center. This year after my annual checkup I paid something like $49 out of pocket. I thought majority of the fee should be covered by the insurance and called insurance to double check and found that I was charged more. Also came to know that they charged more even during my first year. The insurance reached out to them and then they refunded me the money for both the years. If I hadn't checked I would have never known. I feel like it should be straight forward to determine how much a customer should pay and it shouldn't happen twice. I never received a call explaining why I was charged more. Not sure how many customers are billed more. If I am in their position I would go and re-verify all the customers to make sure they aren't charged more. I felt the glasses & frames are expensive at this place. Also the representatives who help customers to choose frames/glasses are majorly interested in making a sale rather than figuring out what customer really wants. There was a glasses event which happened today where they were offering discounts to customers upto 40% based on a coupon which you collect at the entrance. So I thought I will go and check them out. I got 20% coupon. I liked one frame but was out of my budget and asked the representative who was helping me if they can provide 40% discount (as they were providing 40% to some customers based on the coupon they received). It's not that I was randomly asking them to provide discount. The representative mentioned she don't want to swindle. I felt really bad and taken back with the word swindle. I understand if you don't want to provide 40% discount but I didn't meant to swindle it. My idea was to talk to the store manager and see if they can provide 40% discount. When I asked if she can talk to store manager then she mentioned she is the optical manager bluntly. She didn't make an effort to talk to the store manager OR the owner. Also they were providing 30% discount to all customers by default (not sure what is the point of collecting the coupon at the entrance when they are doing this). It was written on every table. She didn't even care to offer that. At that point I didn't care to ask about it based on the experience I had. I liked the doctors but with both of these experiences they lost a customer.

Dr. Neal is the absolute best. The experience from check-in, to the pre-exam, and the actual visit with Dr. Neal are all conducted by true professionals. I would recommend Dr Neal and the entire Maple Valley Eye Care Center team to anyone looking for an optometrist for the first time or for those who are new to the area.

Everything was good except the waiting time. I had to wait probably 40 minutes which doesn't seem like much but I schedule my doctor's appointments first thing in the morning so they shouldn't be late. That's the only thing that I didn't like about my experience. Everything else was great.

Started with the front desk. Very nice and professional. Then the assistant took me in for tests. Very nice, friendly and good at her job. The doctor was awesome. Got to know me in a short time. Caring about my ability to be able to see the best possible. She explained my eye exrays to me to the fullest so I understand. I recommend this team of professionals to anyone needing vision care.

The reception staff was courteous. The appointment started on time & was thorough. Dr. Montgomery spent time explaining my test results & discussing what I could do to improve my vision quality.

Bad service. Don’t bother going. They’re more expensive than Costco. And Costco does a better job. This establishment isn’t good enough to be in Maple Valley. Bad customer service as well. Once again they try to shuffle as much people as possible. Only good thing about it is the building.
